![]() | Westside Cleveland location(44135) - Full Time, 1st shift, M-F. Management Position responsible for the day to day operations of a sheltered workshop environment for individuals with disabilities; Responsible for the development, coordination and delivery of paid work services that focus on individuals participating in the vocational segment, Buckeye Industries, of the Day Services Program at New Avenues to Independence (NATI). When needed, the Project Manager works closely with the agency’s Procurement Specialist, third party organizations, and private customers from local businesses to ensure that facility-based work is completed in an efficient and timely manner, and that the proper equipment is maintained to facilitate and maximize consumers’ work performance and productivity. Clientele:
Adults with developmental disabilities, mental health/emotional disabilities and physical disabilities involved in NATI vocational services programming. Workers may also include adults from the general, non-disabled population. Minimum Qualifications:
A. Bachelor’s Degree in business, social services, special education, rehabilitation or allied human services field required. Experience in direct service delivery to adults with DD and/or attendant emotional issues is preferred. B. Five (5) years production-related experience preferred, including at least two (2) years supervisory experience. C. In good health, demonstrating emotional stability and physical capacities to perform essential job duties. D. Valid Ohio Driver’s License, insurable by NATI Insurance company, and able to successfully complete agency driving training, in the event that “back-up“ driving coverage is needed in transporting consumers. Driving is required for this position. E. Able to pass drug screening test and to submit a signed statement from a licensed physician stating that no medical, physical, mental, visual or hearing impairment exists that would interfere with safe driving, the ability to assist passengers, perform emergency treatment, or that would jeopardize the health/safety of individuals. F. Maintain mandatory certifications, including CPR, First Aid and CPI. G. Maintain professional licensure or certification as relevant.
Core Knowledge and Skills:
A. Functional knowledge of program development, evaluation and planning processes. B. Functional knowledge of quality management and assurance techniques and procedures, and their application within the habilitation environment. C. Functional knowledge of state/federal policies and regulations for DD day habilitation programs and their application in program operation and development preferred. D. Functional knowledge of how to interpret policies and procedures to staff . E. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. F. Organizational Skills: 1. Ability to organize, prioritize and delegate responsibilities. 2. Ability to coordinate the work of others. 3. Ability to develop and carry out plans. G. Leadership Skills: 1. Ability to build group cohesiveness. 2. Ability to role model professionalism and lead by example, dealing with all staff, regardless of their level of experience or knowledge.
